Notes

Couple of notes about my project and then read below for an EPIPHANY that would make this project so much easier!

My gauge was closer to 6.5-7 but the gloves fit beautifully. Next time I might add about 4-5 stitches to the total count but keep all the short rows the same counts. That would give a little more length to the wrist.

I realized that on my ring finger, I left out 3 full ridges (no idea why). I added one on the 2nd half and then mirrored my mistake on the 2nd glove. Those fingers fit a little more snugly but they are still fine.

My Epiphany
I had a little trouble working on the 2nd glove because of translating the directions backwards. Half way though I had a realization that would make the 2nd glove SO MUCH easier and I think EZ herself would approve. On the first glove, before joining the sides of the fingers, you turn the fabric with the outsides facing in. On the 2nd glove, make exactly as written from start to finish but DON’T turn the fingers to join them. Instead, when the entire glove is finished, just turn the whole thing right-side out. Wa-la!
I have not tested this. If I had realized earlier I would have done it but was too far along and didn’t want to start over. Next time I make these I will definitely do this. If anyone else tries it, please let me know how it works!
