My second Lunar New Year snake lantern.

Slightly different shade of green, this time a more snakey green.

I used DMC cotton thread with a 1.25mm hook for the tongue, which I made slightly longer. For everything else I used a 3mm hook.

As with the previous lantern I twisted the hanging threads and added a bead.

I also worked the snake neck and head using the regular yarn over / yarn over technique for the sc stitches. For everything else I used yarn under / yarn over.

Red: 16g
Yellow: 11g
Green: 5g
Cream: 1g
Oddments of DMC red thread for the tongue

6mm safety eyes

This is a quick project and a cute present.
