Notes

Modified pattern for aran yarn (although I could have CO even fewer stitches, it turned out quite slouchy):

CO 80 st. K2, p2 for 20 rounds or about 9 cm. Switch to st st on the next round, increasing like this: K 4, kfb. Repeat throughout the round = 96 st total.

K4, p4 for 4 rounds. Switch to p4, k4 for the next 4 rounds. Repeat these 8 rounds 4 times.

Decrease on the next round: k2, k2tog. P2, p2tog. = 72 st total.

K3, p3 for 4 rounds. Switch to p3, k3 for 4 rounds.

Decrease again on the next round: P1, p2tog. K1, k2tog. Break yarn and pull throughout the remaining st. Weave in ends.
