The make knot stitch is easier than it sounds, but it will give your hands a work out. I could only knit for about an hour before I needed to give my hands a rest. Not the sort of stitch you want to use if you’re in a hurry to make a gift, but the end result is pretty great – a thick, sponge-y, warm scarf.
