I made Chunky Cakes Poncho in year 2021. I applied the same construction to make another Poncho in Worsted yarn. Of course, I wouldn’t make the same pattern twice, so I added some pretty stitch patterns to make the poncho more interesting.

When I first came across Fairy Maiden, I thought it looked like a pattern of owl. I stacked the “owls” up besides the increase stitches of the poncho. In between, I made some basket weave stitches to keep the poncho flat. To make sure the poncho won’t curl, I ended it with a few rounds of moss stitches.

In my opinion, the stitches on poncho look too busy with both basket weaves and owls together. If I were to make the poncho again, I would either make only basket weaves or the owls separately.
