Notes

Jane is the little girl equivalent of Johnny. Pretty and lacy. Fit for a little princess. This is made of three different six inches squares. I used a larger hook then I did for Johnny. The yarn just seemed a little thicker even though both were made with dk / baby yarn. Size 3 here in the U.S.
The first square is the “solid” square. This one is easy and fun and works up fast. I added a splash of color to this one. Always remember to look out of the hidden stitch at the corners.
All three squares will end in the same number. Be sure to count.
Square 2 I just love this one! This one is the most involved of the three. For some reason I didn’t feel mine looked like the pattern picture. Mine looks like a flower in the center. The bead st adds a wonderful look around the this square. Lots of places to do color changes to give it the look your after. Make it soft and delicate or bold and bright! Once again, look out for hidden stitches and be sure you end with 25 stitches on last round.
Square 3 I tried to tone this square down a bit. I wanted to show a diffidence between the two “flower” squares. Mind is a bit more plain then it really needs to be. Some post stitches in this one that are fun to work with.
Now to connect!
I tried different some join methods. I don’t sew so the wipe stitch is a job of me. I never seem to get it to look even. I decided to go with the surface slip stitch join I used of Johnny. I friend said she really like the single crochet chain one method so I looked up the great video Helen has on You Tube and gave it a try. It was fun! That’s what I went with. Lacy.. just perfect of my little girl blanket. I did chain two rather then one. It’s a little more open.
And now the border! This works up great but does take some time. Bead stitches and shells. Very pretty and a lacy way to end this one.
A great pattern!
