This shawl is a present to my lady mail carrier. She hails from Pittsburgh and is a HUGE Steelers fan. I decided that her shawl would also have red and blue beads besides the black and white ones so that her shawl could not be mistaken for another team.

I discovered that if I add the stitch markers first, then remove the stitch marker after making the short row, life is MUCH easier for me. I also intend to add beads like I did in my Handspun Netheroyd.

Black beads were added to the short row stitches as they were picked up and knitted/purled across before the lace section.

White, red, and blue mirror beads were added in rows to represent the colors in the Pittsburgh Steelers helmet.
