Notes

I picked up stitches from the cast on edge while finishing the top of the wrist border. No hemming at the end. I also shortened the mitten slightly because I have stubby fingers. Thumb is a little tight but that’s due to stranding restricting it.

I would make arm border wider and nip in a touch just below the thumb, about row 22. It could be more ergonomical. But for ease of patterning I can see why it is the way it is

I chose not to make the second mitten because in general, it doesn’t fit my hand and wrist well.

((Update))

Years later, I fished this one out of the drawer, soaked and squeezed and dried it flat, and I’m a little in love with it (except for the pulled sections due to tight stranding).

I think I’ll get another ball of cream, and perhaps a ball of spearmint for the other mitten. We don’t need mittens to match, do we?
