I mostly followed the pattern as written except:

I worked in a spiral to avoid the slight seam evident from the slst joins.

I only worked 7 increases instead of 8 for a slightly smaller bag.

I worked this very rustic yarn firmly with the 2.5mm hook and regretted it a little as it was unnecessarily hard work.

I’m happy with the result though, and it is wonderfully stiff and just right for a project bag / yarn holder.

My second project is softer and was much easier to work. See other project in Bendigo 4ply cotton, 3mm hook.
