Updated version, April 2018: The first two photos show the dress knit with Play at Life Fiber Arts Jest Sock in Neon rainbow shades, Louet Gems Fingering for the white background and Knit Picks Palette yarns in Sweet Potato, Brindle Heather and Semolina for the duplicate stitch Robin.

Good morning little Robin! A long tail cast on of 90 stitches was used to create a full skirt. The first 5 rows are a garter stitch hem done on straight needles. Tips for a neat garter stitch hem can be found here. The cast on row is row 1 of the chart. I joined in the round on row 6 and did 9 repeats of the chart shown on the left. Decreases were made in the two rows before the waist (row 30 of the chart) to reduce to 36 stitches. For a cast on of 90 stitches, the decreases are as follows:
Row 26 Purl 2 tog across (45stitches)
Row 27 Knit 9, (knit 2 tog, knit 1) 9 times, knit 9 (36 stitches)

The Robin and tiny “flowers” in the leaves were done in duplicate stitch. Chart for the robin is on the left. You can place the robin wherever you’d like. I usually place it off center as pictured.

The bunny was knit on 2.75 mm needles with Filatura di Crosa Zara yarn in Latte 1773.
