A dress designed with an Americana quilt in mind. I chose Knit Picks heather yarn colors that give a vintage look.

This dress is a little less full than my usual ones to better accommodate the quilt block pattern. I used a long tail cast on of 84 stitches. The first 5 rows are garter stitch done on straight needles before joining in the round on row 6. (The long tail cast on is row 1.) Next, I did 7 repeats of the chart pictured on the left. A 96 stitch cast on and 8 repeats of the chart would create a more full dress but the design would be a bit lost.

The Peter Pan collar is from the Textured Dresses pattern by Julie Williams. I used Aunt Lydia’s #10 Cotton crochet thread in white and a 2.5mm hook.

For the second more vivid version I used Knit Picks Palette yarn in Lingonberry Heather, Finnley Heather and Marine Heather. This dress would work in a variety of color combinations.

The bunny was knit on 2.75mm neeedles using Sublime extra fine merino DK in caramel.
