One vanilla cone with sprinkles please?

I came across the Diamond Honeycomb Stitch and immediately thought of ice cream in a waffle cone. Using straight needles, I cast on 101 stitches (repeats of 6 plus five) and knit 2 repeats of the pattern and two rows of garter( one purl row on the front side and knit row on the back) before switching to “vanilla” yarn and knitting in the round. My plan was to reduce the stitches from 101 to 96 when I joined in the round, but somehow I had made errors and reduced to 90 along the way in the honeycomb hem. Still a mystery. I finished the dress using my usual modifications found here.

When the dress was complete, I hand stitched the beads on with nylon thread.

Maybe strawberry next? Mint chocolate chip?!!! This dress has many options…the waffle cone hem can be as thick or thin as needed…and the ice cream portion knit to the right length for a small animal.

Just have to add that the Louet Gems Fingering yarn is beautiful!!! Always a joy to knit with.

The bunny was knit on 2.75mm needles using Filatura di Crosa Zara yarn in Latte 1773. Knit picks Comfy Fingering in Lilac and White were used for the shoes and tights.
