Yay it fits and he likes it! Knitters are only allowed to view it from the front. All of my mistakes are on the back side. The picture shows it before blocking; it will look more relaxed after a soak. I cheated and used a 3 needle bind off under the arms.

2/11 - Woo hoo! A snow day yesterday gave me plenty of knitting time and I can see the finish line (which will be under the arms). I think I can have the sweater done for Valentine’s. Just in time for 60 degree weather.

2/3 - Because of a shoulder injury, I have not been knitting much. I only have about 1/3 left of the second sleeve and then I can join it all up. But it is slow going.

1/22 - knitted up 18” of sleeve per EZ’s instructions. When Steve tried it on, we discovered that the sleeve was VERY fitted. Since he wears his sweaters looser, I decided to rip out and restart with an additional 4 stitches.

1/16 - finished the body and have started a sleeve. Steve prefers ribbed cuffs, so I CO 44 and am doing 2 x 2 ribbing for about 3 inches.

12/31 - knitting around and around

12/22 - provisional crochet CO 198 stitches in waste yarn. Knitted 6 rounds in CC, then did one round of k9 m1 for a total of 220 stitches. Changed to MC and knitted 1 round, then purled one round for turning row. Knitted 8 rounds in MC. Removed provisional CO and knitted hem and sweater body together by K2tog using 1 stitch hem facing and 1 stitch body. Every 10th stitch was just a body stitch.

12/16 - Swatching. I’m using this swatching method to knit a flat swatch appropriate for an in-the-round sweater.
