Tried to finish it before departing for home, but alas I came up a couple hours short. I forgot to knit the cables extra loose, so there’s a bit of a ladder to the right of each cable, but it’s not too visible.

The hat is very luxurious and clingy, if a bit itchy due to the wool. I kinda regret blocking it because the ladders and cables did not relax as much as I hoped and it has made the hat bigger, which is now, just a bit too big.

I also think there’s a bit too much ribbing. The pattern calls for 4” of rib, but I think 3 would do.

The cabled body of the hat is just a touch longer than it needs to be, too. This pattern does a great job of decreasing into a good crown, though.

Now I have to decide if I want to do more weaving in the peak, or maybe even add a pompom. There’s lots of yarn left.
