04/14/2013 - finally got to see Neoma for the first time since she was 8 hours old ~ so proud to be godparents to her! She’s almost 7 months old now (I look horrid ~ picture was towards the tail end of a 3 day 1700 mile pretty stressful road trip (blogged about here) that involved sleeping in the truck and no showers ~ glad there’s no smell feature on the internet??!)

super easy knit ~ and fast (less than 2 days) ~ just need to get some buttons (even better ~ found 3 mismatched plastic antique buttons in my button jar that were perfect!)

only modification to the pattern ~ the underarm garter stripe only runs from underarm to first garter band at bottom of sweater

the yarn: grew tremendously when I soaked it for blocking ~ ended up tossing it in the dryer for 20 min on a low setting til almost dry which took it right back down to the size it was when I finished knitting it ~ slightly damp out of the dryer so I layed flat to finish drying and it turned out just right (the yarn didn’t felt at all)
