thank goodness for even the most brainless knitting ~
for those days when even a sock is too much for me to handle, garter stitch squares to the rescue ~ must keep the hands busy doing something…I am not a good thumb-twiddler

out came all my cotton cones and scraps and the washcloth assembly line has begun…

project notes ~

• didn’t do quite as many stripes (using scraps of yarn so did what I could with what I had)
• knit 18 rows garter ~ followed by 2 1/2 “ of striping using 3 colors (total of 18 rows) ~ then 71 rows garter (made a larger/longer towel than the pattern stated)
• bound off loosely with US 10 (1 size larger needle than I knit with)
• sewed a grosgrain ribbon loop to hang the towel with & finished off with a vintage plastic button
• finished size before washing : 14”wide x 15”long
