L.O.V.E.
I am infatuated with this cardi. It’s the cutest thing ever, it’s red, & it fits perfectly.
Amped up the joy with sweetly mismatched vintage buttons & Mmm…alabrigo (so so soft, and such a luscious colour). Because I’m worth it.
This is a great design for my body with the added bonus of being super easy and super quick to make. And less than 300g of yarn!
The pattern is well written with good pics and schematics. No chart for the lace: the instructions are all written, with numbered rows.
I winged the sizing, hoping my typically relaxed tension would let me get away with fitting broad shoulders and a 46” bust into a 42” garment. Used the recommended needle size instead of dropping down like I normally do.
Guys, it worked! And I’m so thrilled with the result. Can’t wait to make another.
The bulk of the knitting only took a week but I dilly-dallied over the finishing. Found a veritable treasure trove of buttons at Shop on Carroll, in Dunedin - a wonderful end to a wonderful knitty weekend at Unwind.
