1/14 - Going to shake this pattern up a bit and use double-strands of the DK-weight yarn and size 15 needles, which means I decreased the number of repeats on the pattern…instead of 10 repeats, only doing 8 (so CO 88 sts).

1/17 - forgot what a pain this yarn can be to use double…mostly because it’s sort of a boucle type yarn and makes it hard to look back and find your error if you come up short a stitch.

1/25 - got to the point where I was getting bored & impatient, so I whipped up a hat, incorporating the blanket pattern. This also ensured I had enough yarn for the hat. I CO 33 sts and did three repeats of the blanket pattern, then did garter st the rest if the way and decreasing 3sts per round till 6 remaining sts, then tying it up.

1/26 - avoided some housework and was able to finish the blanket! Yay!

1/27 - after washing, the silly thing is now wider than long, so the “stripes” go across instead of down the length of the blanket. If I make it again (w/ doubled DK yarn) I’ll CO 66 instead of the 88.
