06.05.15 I got my sock knitting mojo back, so I cranked out these summer socks. The yarn is absolutely awesome on my feet.

After I had weaved in all my ends, I found a dropped stitch on the ankle area. That was new fix for me. I picked it up to where it must have fallen off the needle, then put a small piece of yarn in it, and wove in the ends. I can’t tell where it happened now. Whew. Close call.

I tried out the fish lips heel. I like it a lot. It’s so easy that I doubt I will need the pattern to do it again. I have a small hole on one ankle, but that was my fault for forgetting to tighten my end stitch before starting the first heel.

I used all but a few yards of each yarn, so they’re just going into my darning scraps. The bamboo and ewe yarn on the toes and cuff ribbing helped make the socks just a little bit longer because I don’t like ankle socks. The colors are pretty together. The TOFUtsies yarn is a great blue knit up - like denim almost. They look great with a pair of blue jeans.

These socks have between 0-5% ease. They are a tiny bit loose for my taste, but they fit nice in some shoes. I am happily on my way to only wearing hand knit socks.
