Melt the Ice Toque

Crochet CO 112 size 5. Knit 3 inches ribbing. Switch to size 6 needle and continue pattern.

In the end, this is shorter/shallower than I expected. Even with size 6 needle, my gauge is off—6 stitches per inch instead of 5.5.

Point Blank

I liked the look of the Point Blanket Toque with its dark gray accents. Dye Mad didn’t have a dark gray (and there’s no way I’m doing a Scarlet and Gray hat for myself).

Starting this one on a size 6, then up to 7 for gauge.

Melt the Ice Hat

Decided to order more Poison Apple and make the viral version. Alternate Cable Cast-on, 8 inches 1x1 rib, another 1.5 inches stockinette, then decreases.

Top Down

From the top, increasing every round until there are 40 stitches around, then alternate rounds until 112 stitches.

5.33 feet = 1 k1p1 round. (About 21 sts per foot of yarn.)
