I used a safety nose because I had one available.

This toy is made from the top down.
Attach safety eyes (and nose, if you’re using one) while bottom opening is still large.
Stuff toy before the opening is closed.

my changes to bottom shape: Rnd 26: (sc 20, dec 1) to end of round. Rnd 27: (sc 7, dec 1) to end of round. Rnd 28: (sc 6, dec 1) to end of round. Attach eyes. Rnd 29: (sc 5, dec 1) to end of round. Rnd 30: (sc 4, dec 1) to end of round. Start stuffing the toy. Rnd 31: (sc 3, dec 1) to end of round. Rnd 32: (sc 2, dec 1) to end of round. Finish stuffing. Rnd 33: (sc 1, dec 1) to end of round. Rnd 34: (dec 1) to end of round.

Hands: I skipped Round 8, stuffed hands slightly and sewed them to body as shown in photos.

I re-embroidered the face with crochet cotton.
