Enbata is the basque word for sea storm. While I was knitting it one of my students said that it resembled something marine, like seaweeds and bubbles. We thought about a name and after a brief brainstorming Esti came with the name, Enbata. It sounds strong, bold, but the shawl still has a delicate feel about it.

Spring is here! And is time for lightweight knits and bright colors. This shawlette was designed on a whim, quite improvised, but the result was so cute, that I needed to make a pattern of this.

When looking for a name for this pattern I knew I wanted it to be related with sheep, but my inspiration wasn´t working with me. I share my fiber study with my mum, a painter, crocheter and jack of all trades and I asked her for a name related with sheep. She suggested Bolingua.

A new twist for an old pattern. Using the bold lace pattern used in my cowl Bolingua, I designed this easy, chunky and rustic looking mittens. No thumb, no knitting in the round, just a straight forward knit, and sewing to finish.
