Years ago I found my mother’s knitting bag and in there wa an unfinished baby blanket project. A small crinkled piece of paper listed the 5 row repeat for this blanket. I picked it up and started knitting per her small bit of instructions and ended up with the most wonderful, squishy soft stroller sized blanket.

This cowl is so simple to knit but has a textured finish and is reversible. I made it 8” x 54” but it is easy to make thinner, thicker, shorter or longer. I used 3 skeins of Diamond Mega Merino to knit this cowl. It can be worn long or looped around once. It is so warm, super easy to knit, and feels lightweight and soft.

This is a reversible blanket that is a lot of fun to knit, and so easy too! I used an acrylic washable yarn because I prefer using washable yarns so it’s easy for the new mommies to wash their baby blankets. I loved the way the blanket washed up so soft and that it can go in and out of the washer and dryer.
