Requires 2 colors of yarn, A and B, regardless of yarn choice. It works especially well if one of the yarns is multi-colored, variegated, or hand-painted. This cowl can, and has been knit in worsted, dk, sport, and fingering. In each project there was ample yarn remaining to knit another cowl when knitting the smaller size.

1 skein each of two contrasting colors are needed for these mitts. Sizes difference is achieved by changing needle size. 2 stitch markers and waste yarn are also needed.
