Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
RBK stands for Rhinebeck where the NY Sheep & Wool Festival takes place every third weekend of October.
Knitting: Stitch pattern
This “pattern” explains how to add the cables in your socks; doing the math for you on a sock with a total stitch count of 64 stitches. It is NOT a sock pattern; you will use your own preferred method of knitting socks.
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern will be free until February 14th, 2016 ( <3 my Valentine’s gift to you <3 ). After that it will be $2.99.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This pattern was written for a beginners’ knitting class. Rather than knitting a scarf as a first project which is the most common way to go, I started with this pillow cover.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl is inspired by the shimmer and flicker of candle flames and all the symbolic meaning candles and their light holds.
Knitting: Cowl
When I made the Owls sweater by Kate Davies, I thought how nice it would be to knit a matching cowl in two colors giving the owls some branches to sit on and my neck some warmth. The design I came up with is for the intermediate knitter or beginner knitter who is ready to try some new stitches.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern is written with the beginner knitter in mind. You know how to cast on, knit and purl, but are tired of making scarves. You want to make hats and mittens, but are not ready to tackle double pointed needles or the “magic loop”. This pattern lets you knit your hat flat and then seam it together. You will see that hats make quick gifts...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern is written for the beginner knitter who is not ready yet to knit in the round. The mitt is worked flat and then seamed together. The pattern is written for a small adult size hand, but instructions are included to change the size to fit the measurements for a child or larger adult.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
August 2015: The pink shrug (last three pictures) was knitted up in a lighter yarn. About 2 1/3 skeins of Lana Grossa Aria on US# 10.5 needles in a simple k1, p1 ribbing. Cast on 50 stitches.
Knitting: Scarf
A simple drop stitch design shows off this beautiful yarn best.
Knitting: Cozy - Other
When you are in a situation/ meeting where people all use the same plastic water bottles it is difficult to remember which one is yours.
Knitting: Scarf
February 2022 There are several ways to make this into a cowl:
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is knitted in the round.
Knitting: Headband
Knitting: Headband
Although the pattern is made up in Madeline Tosh Merino worsted, it was actually written for the beautiful cashmere Aran yarn we sell at the store “The knitting garage” in Rhinebeck, NY.
