The idea for these socks came from the book Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. In the book, the main character pulls out a pair of hand-knit socks to wear on a field trip. These are the socks that I imagined her father would knit for her.

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The main pattern for this sock-features a two-row-pattern repeat. The pattern features a Right Twist (RT). It is a 1-1 cable that can be done without a cable needle. A basic explanation of how to do a RT is found in the pattern, but visual examples/videos can be found on YouTube.
