Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Re-engineerd hat like the one worn by the Dutch athletes during the Sochi winter games. The pattern consists of a single page with both Dutch and English instructions and a chart for the centre pattern. Some knowledge of knitting abbreviations will be usefull since the pattern is not very elaborate.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This triangular shawl is the perfect project for those nice hand dyed skeins of sock yarn waiting for the perfect pattern. The slipped stitch lines are placed ever closer like looking at a row of greek colomns from the side.
Knitting: Mittens
These are mittens I made for a swap in the Ankh Morpork Knitters Guild Group.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
The latin motto on this tam reads Oculi Viderunt Manus Facerunt which should mean My eyes see, my hands make.
Knitting: Mittens
These Norse style mittens are inspired by the works of the Japanese artist Hiroshige.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A hat based on a 17th century example from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Belonged to a family De Graeff from Ilpenstein House in the north of Holland.
Knitting: Mittens
These mittens are inspired by medieval and Estonian knitting. The comb pattern on the cuff is a copy of a 13th century find from a Votic grave in Estonia. They were knitted in natural white, madder red and indigo blue yarn.
Knitting: Mittens
This is a chart only! You need to know how to knit a Selbu mitten. Knitted in fingering weight yarn you will have a smaller womans mitten.
Crochet: Food Cozy
Egg cozy modeled after the Death of Rats from the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels. Uses scraps of worsted or aran yarn (ca.25 grams black, ca. 15 grams white). Includes instuctions for making a scythe out of craft foam.
