Beginner Friendly Large Warm Wrap

This pattern is written for Self Stripe Scarf Kits. This will make a 11-12 foot long (before tassels) and 12 inche wide scarf, if using the +400g and +739m, or 14oz and +800y giant cake.

An easy weekday night project, Lotus Fluff will keep your ears warm all winter long.

Sizes: Toe up for small (medium, large) or 64 (68, 72) stitchs around socks. Easily modified for less or more stitches.

I knit this out of my own yarn as a sample and it was requested to be written as a pattern.

Knit toe up, using Judy’s Magic Cast On, heel can be knit as desired short row, fish lips, or afterthought, your choice.

This shawl was knit as a breast feeding or nursing cover up. It can be worn as a scarf/shawl until needed, making the wearer look like a genius mom. Of course it can be worn just as any other triangle shawl too.

A friend bet me that I couldn’t knit a Yankee Sweater for his newborn son. I said “I can knit anything” so I did. He was very surprised and thrilled when I presented him with this sweater when his son was born. That was 4 years ago, and I finally got around to writing and testing the pattern out.

Pre-Knitting Instructions: Knit (nearly) seamless bottom up. The sleeves and body are knit up to the underarms and then joined together for the smocking stitched yoke. Although the directions are written for a Passap knitting machine, you could use the math to knit these on any machine (standard gauge, 4.5-5mm) with a ribber.
