Crochet: Afghan block
The May flowers square is reminiscent of a field of tulips. Using three colors, you can make the field of tulips your own.

Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Mosaic mitts pattern is my crochet design for the PNW yarn crawl 2025 at Our Local Yarn Shop. Pattern releases May 1.

Crochet: Afghan block
This reversible square is a fun variation on the double crochet stitch. The blue and grey colors seem appropriate for the April skies here in Washington state.

Crochet: Afghan block
This heavily textured square would make a great thick blanket. You could make the squares out of multiple colors or just one and it would be just as visually striking. I used most of one ball to make this square.

Crochet: Afghan block
This pretty, intermediate level, square uses front loop and back loop only stitches that create a ridge along each row and a little lace feature. Pattern includes a chart, written instructions and a video demonstration of the stitches.

Crochet: Afghan block
This square uses an interesting variation on the double crochet stitch. By adding extra yarn overs, the double crochet leans right and left each row. It makes a slightly wavy edge.

Knitting: Cowl
This yarn reminded me of those amazing summer sunsets with the pink, purple, and coral colors. The diagonal stitch pattern pops with the variegated yarn slowing the color changes and pooling at times.

Crochet: Drawstring Bag
This bag was inspired by our “Into The Woods” theme for PNW yarn crawl 2024 at Our Local Yarn Shop in Olympia. Amanitas are the most recognizable mushroom with their red color and white spots. Take this bag along for your mushroom foraging at the Capitol State Forest.

Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Fingerless mitts are great to use all year round and still have use of your fingertips. The texture of these mitts reminded me of blackberries. The pattern is written for two sizes and two lengths.

Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
The Burgeoning wrap was inspired by plants, just beginning to come up out of the ground. The lace stitches I used, start simple and grow into larger leafy shell stitches. I used shades of green to represent the stages of plant growth, with the lighter colors at the top, closest to the sunlight.

Knitting: Scarf
The Starscape scarf is knit using a fancy stitch that resembles stars. I chose Lion brand Truboo Sparkle for the pattern’s stars because of it’s silky texture and sparkly appearance. Bamboo yarn can be slippery, so I recommend using wooden needles.

Crochet: Cowl
This pattern was originally designed for yarn crawl 2023. Our shop’s theme was England. I designed this cowl with classic lace stitches to reflect the Victorian era.
