Knit your own mini dogs, a West Highland Terrier (Westie) and a Scottish Terrier (Scottie). They are pocket sized pooches, standing approximately 9 cm high. The pattern is knitted in garter stitch (knit stitches only), worked flat, in pieces. There is some sewing up at the end to assemble the dogs, and the features are embroidered in yarn.

This design was inspired by a friend who is never seen without her latest read. It’s a cute little bag just the right size to fit most paperbacks (it will stretch to fit bigger ones. Makes a great gift bag and a nice little extra gift if you’re giving somebody a book!

My “Sharf” is a cross between a scarf and a shawl. Wear it like a shawl when opened out, or bunch it up into a scarf. It has diagonal eyelets, a bias drape and optional fringing for a decorative touch.
