Knitting: Mittens
Who doesn’t love a new pair of mittens? Some knitters stay far away from mittens though because of those pesky double pointed needles. You should no longer fear making mittens because I wrote a pattern for mittens that are made flat, no DPNs needed! These mittens work up quick since they use a size 9 needle and Anthem Chunky yarn. Knitting: Cowl
Stay warm and fashionable this winter with this simple project. The yarn does all the work with its beautiful colors that seem to melt right into each other. Cartwheel has over 300 yards so you can knit two of these cowls with the one skein. Knit one for yourself and give the other to a friend!
Crochet: Cardigan
This is the perfect cardigan to wear all year round. The cotton blend yarn makes this cardigan a great light layering piece in the spring and cool summer nights. It is also warm enough to comfortably layer in the fall and winter. The slouchy design also adds to the comfort factor.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
Expand your tunisian skills and dabble with a bit of entrelac with this cute star ornament. What is great about this quick pattern is that the blocks of tunisian stitches are small enough that you can use your normal crochet hook. It is also a great stash buster!
Knitting: Cowl
Stay warm and fashionable this winter with this oversized cowl. The yarn does all the work with its beautiful colors that seem to melt right into each other. Cartwheel has over 300 yards so you can knit this cowl that is big enough to use as a hood on windy winter days.
Knitting: Ankle Sock, Slippers
These chunky slipper socks are inspired by many trips to our local ice cream shop. They have a special pistachio soft serve and I had the perfect light green yarn at home.
Knitting: Ankle Sock, Slippers
Another pair of slipper socks inspired by Sam. In the beginning stages of the Pistachio Swirl socks, Sam thought the first few attempts at the textured stitches looked like bumps on a pickle. Little did he know that I had a dark green color of Cherub Chunky to actually make socks that look like pickles.
Knitting: Ankle Sock, Slippers
I really hope these socks bring back the feeling of the warm summer sun on those cold winter months. The combination of bright colors and eyelet lace really make these slipper socks look like cute little watermelons on your feet.
