Crochet: Brimmed Hat
This little Sunhat was designed as a Mystery Crochet A Long for the Knit4charities annual Confab in 2023. It was designed to use less than one 50 gram ball of 8 ply cotton. A huge thank you to my testers, Kerry Moreland and Jenny Hinton.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This textured knit square works up to approximately 25cms x 25cms and can be used as a stand alone wash cloth if made with cotton, or you can make multiple in any yarn and sew them together to be made into a blanket.
Crochet: Coat / Jacket
This is a pattern for a newborn Centre to Border Hexagon Jacket, and is based on the popular corner to corner (or C 2 C) blanket. It will fit a newborn baby. It is worked from the Centre out, leaving the lovely ripple edge as your border. I prefer the increasing to the decreasing of the original blanket, and love the ripple edge which ends up l...

Crochet: Afghan block
My Movie Blanket was designed especially for the Knit4charities Confab CAL.
Crochet: Cowl
This thick, soft and squishy cowl was my first crochet design with gradient. I wanted to really show off the colour transitions. It uses exactly one ball of Ozifarmer’s Market Ozi DK. No leftover yarn! I hope you enjoy wearing yours as much as I do!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Why this pattern is better… You have less ribbing! Ribbing seems to take forever, not anymore. The look of a thick double band without all the work. Less stitches with yarn doubled. No need to change needes, all knit with the one size needle.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This sock has been designed especially for Heathermaid DK sock yarn. Using other yarns may not give you the same result. The pattern was designed to make one pair of socks using just one 100 gram skein of the main colour and one 20 gram miniskein of the contrast colour of Heathermaid DK Sock yarn.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a shaped beanie which frames the face beautifully. The crown of the beanie sits directly on top of the head, not to the back like a traditional beanie. This allows the Pom Pom to sit more towards the face and allows it to be a feature. This pattern is slightly different in its construction and is extremely well fitting. As in most of my...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern is toe up knitted in the round. The sock features a texured stitch pattern forming 4 diamonds running up the foot and leg, hence the name. The toe is rounded and done in a contrast colour, as is the heel and part of the cuff. When knitting the cuff, its not nessary to cut the yarn when changing colours. You can carry the colour not...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I used 1 200 gram ball and was able to knit all 4 sizes.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern requires experience in knitting in the round and an understanding of how a beanie is knit. If you are like me and prefer not to Purl, then you can “wrap and turn” and knit back for the purl sections, don’t forget to “Wrap and turn” and knit back at the end too!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This pattern came about because of an excess of long eyelash type yarn and not wanting to make a pom pom, yet have the look of a pom pom. My first memory of pom poms is in the 70’s ski beanie patterns. Hence the name.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This beanie is worked top down, good for those who are worried about twisting their stitches when joining in the round as you start of with only 8 stitches. If you omit the “ribbon” colour change and forgo the Bow, this is a simple top down beanie pattern. Written in my usual style in Spreadsheet form. You choose your size and read across that ...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A simple comfortable beanie that will stretch to fit more than the suggested size. Add stripes or a Pom Pom. Wear it with the band rolled up or slouch it. Always wash your finished item before judging the size and fit.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is such an easy to make and easy to wear pattern. Starting at the top so there is no grafting. The idea for this came from another pattern I wrote years ago to teach knitting in the round. A seamless mobile phone bag.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This was designed for the knitalong for the second Knit4charities anual get togther.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
If you are a beginner, this might not be for you. A basic knowledge of Beanie knitting is required.
