This hat, a close fitting, short cabled hat, is best made with a smooth yarn so that the cables are clearly defined. It can easily be made longer by adding more repeat rounds in the ribbing or additional cable row repeats.

A great little project for sock yarn! I’ve gotten tons of compliments on this over the past few years. It is adaptable enough to cover a softdrink bottle or water bottle of most sizes. Absorbs moisture so as to keep the bottle from making everything around it wet!
