The patterns are inspired by the British artist William Morris, who opposed industrialization as part of the Arts and Crafts movement and advocated for high-quality, handcrafted design. He primarily created patterns for wallpaper, textiles, and furniture, often featuring floral and ornamental motifs.

I designed this blanket pattern inspired by a documentary on Cappadocia in Turkey. Even though I have never been there myself I was immediately fascinated by these beautiful hot air balloons floating above a wonderful landscape.

This is only the introduction part to my new pattern Cappadocia Throw. The blanket can be worked in classic overlay mosaic technique or in combination with tapestry.

The design of these patterns was inspired by my love for the ocean and the element water.
