Fun with Popcorns is the big sister to Puffs N Stuff. Popcorns was made first and when that went well, I started the Puffs version. In order to make this one you must love popcorns! Depending on how deep your love goes will decide which center you make. The original center was very popcorn heavy and I wasn’t sure anyone but me would want to do it. It was scrapped and a new center was born. Along the way, I decided someone other than me may love popcorns enough to make it.

Update! It has been updated and retested. It should be easier to follow and make and I am always around for help. I know I put stitches in odd places that can be tricky to explain.

Crochet: Afghan block
My 2nd contribution to the Block A Month group this year is here! This one is a bit more involved but nothing too difficult. Just take your time with it, in other words no TV except maybe during commercials LOL I hope you will have no problems but there is always help if needed. There is a separate file of round by round photos to help, also.
Crochet: Afghan block
I made the 6” version for the Block A Month group. Not able to do small, I had to grow it after the 6” stage. This version has been tested also and has lots more clusters and pops!
Crochet: Afghan block
Designing a 6” square is hard for me. So what do I do, volunteer to make one LOL I was up for the challenge of something small for a change. Cluster Pops was born from my No Pops square a couple years ago. One of the group moderators jokingly was upset because she didn’t get her pops. I made sure she got some this time!
Crochet: Coaster
I made mine as a coaster but it can be anything you want it to be. It’s thick enough to absorb the condensation in the summer and not leave a circle on the table. It’s also a great motif for anything else you want to make with it. You can make it anything from a throw to a bedpread or anything in between.
Crochet: Throw
Hello Spring! Too soon, too late maybe. Whatever season it is where you are and whether you are looking forward to it or remembering a fond day, we are going to the beach! We will learn about and collect some beach glass, make some squares, ride some waves and build sandcastles. I know what you’re thinking, beach, sand and water don’t sound lik...
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
To celebrate the release of my first bag I am offering it at half price from Oct 11 to Oct 18. No code needed just add to cart!
Crochet: Scarf
Yay! My first scarf! My hook has been up to lots of things this year and several things I have never done
Crochet: Throw
I would like to introduce you to Over and Around. I made mine with #5 bulky yarn and used 3 skeins. You may use whatever you like. The multiples are included so you can use any yarn and make it any size you like.
Crochet: Potholder
A tisket, a tasket a yellow basket of eggs LOL I know the song says green and yellow basket but I wasn’t doing the color changes haha
Crochet: Throw
I am so excited to announce this years CAL! We are going to have a bit more fun this year. There is a bit of a spooky story behind this design that I will share with you along the way. Let’s just say it gave me chills when it was over. I am not Stephen King so it won’t be that spooky or well written LOL Think more Twilight Zone!
Crochet: Afghan block
Here we have a very interesting square. There is blue skies and a sun showing off it’s solar flares. There is some color changes involved to make the flares stand out but can be made with out them.
Crochet: Pillow / Cushion
Well my hook did it again, here is my 2nd pillow. This one is bigger and great for stuffing how you like a pillow to be. Finished size for me is 16” x 18” so a bag of stuffing/polyfil will be needed as there is no pillow form made for this.
Crochet: Pillow / Cushion
This is my first pillow but not my last. There is another to come in May. I have no idea why I made a pillow all of a sudden, I keep blaming my hook LOL I do have fun making them now, just didn’t set out to do it. I didn’t notice until I was taking pics that it kinda looks like shooting comets!

Crochet: Afghan block
Here we have 2019 Block a Month CAL square. As always forever free and lots of fun. I have to put new things in there every year. Maybe not new to all, but a little fun for everyone.
Crochet: Throw
I decided to try my hand at a Hex blanket and this is what came off the hook. The name comes from the stitches used in the pattern. You may know what a puff stitch is but what is a fishtail? It’s a stitch I made up that I think looks like a fish tail. You may see something else but that’s what I saw. It’s just trebles and doubles worked around ...
Crochet: Throw
I am so excited about my first Mystery CAL!
Crochet: Throw
Here we finally have the throw that, the square I released last year, grew into. I designed this a couple years ago, but it got put aside until my testers wouldn’t be roasting under a big square in the summer. It has now been tested and is ready for you!
Crochet: Afghan block
The wonderful folks at the Block a Month group invited me back for another design. I came up with No Pops, named for the fact it has all the p stitches, but, no popcorns! I hope you enjoy making this as much as I have designing it. As always with the squares I design for the group, it is forever free!
Crochet: Afghan block
I made this for a friend who said she liked front post stitches. While playing around, it kinda got a mind of its own, to say the least. Though it looks like all front post, it isn’t, so don’t let that stop you. The pattern is just a series of V shapes which looks like chaos, but I assure you it is planned chaos. It has been tested and approved...
Crochet: Throw
This is smaller than I usually make but is still a decent size for a throw. You can always make more than 4 squares to make it larger. A 3 X 3 or 4 X 4 layout would be a good size. Each square is 20” in worsted yarn and the border adds about 3” It is a simpler pattern than I usually do, though it has options in a couple parts so making 4 is not...
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the alternate center square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This is very popcorn heavy and not for the timid. You must absolutely love popcorns for this one as there are 269 popcorns, most just on 5 rounds back to back . There is another center for the afghan that is exclusive to the full pattern. This center is also available as a free a...
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the twelfth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This is a really fun one, the center is interesting and there is more surprises along the way. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the eleventh square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This is another fun one that is on the easier side. It has lots of texture and personality. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the tenth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This is a tie-in to it’s sister afghan, Puffs N Stuff. Still, it has it’s surprises and its own personality. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the ninth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This square is a fun one for texture, framed and lacy popcorns. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the eighth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This is a fun one as it has popcorns but they are hidden under other stitches. There are also pockets that look like half popcorns. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated for the more experienced. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has ...
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the seventh square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This square has popcorns set to look like they are about to bloom. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated for the experienced. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the sixth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This has some lacy popcorns boxed in solid textures. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the fifth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This one is a fun one, too. It is discombobulated because some of the popcorns decided to leave the line..hehe I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the fourth square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This one is more fun than it may look. It has lots of texture and surprises. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Afghan block
This is the third square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This one is very fun! It is the most advanced of them all. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated if you know your stitches. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.

Crochet: Afghan block
This is the first square for Fun with Popcorns Afghan. This one gets you set up for some of the stitches used in other squares and introduces you to how I work. I don’t do things traditional, but nothing too complicated. I just am not normal as to how I place them. Every pattern I release has been tested so be confident in the purchase.
Crochet: Placemat
This is an easy to make set that includes all the pieces to make a cozy or party set. A centerpiece is included that can be made in 2 sizes. I made this to recycle a rejected afghan center. I loved the center but not the rest, so the place setting was born. If you make the pieces as I did, there is a total of about 230 yards used for a cozy 2 p...
Crochet: Throw
This is made by working 8 blocks twice. The assembly is easy with the border join on the squares being built in. Which means the last 2 rounds of each are the same. This makes everything easy. I have also included a 9th square in case you want to make it as a baby blanket or lapghan you can do a 3X3 layout and only do each once.
Crochet: Afghan block
I can now proudly announce, this is the August 2017 square for the BAM group. I was honored and thrilled to be asked to design for this wonderful group.

This is an afghan that started its life as a square among many. Originally this was square #10 of another afghan. I liked it so much I thought it deserved to be its own afghan. Because the center can be either horizontal or vertical, I decided to alternate them for a tile look. Also, since it is a rectangle inside a square, it looks impossible ...

Update 2020! I am going through and updating my older patterns. This one got the updated layout and minor changes. More updates in progress!
Crochet: Afghan block
2020 update! I am currently updating my older patterns with a new layout. Some have been changed slightly for a better looking finish, but this one has an added bonus of now including a 12” version!!!!!!! If you have more of my patterns be on the lookout for more updates as they are completed

Fast forward to 2020 and I have done a major update to these patterns. New layout, better writing and much easier to follow.
