This easy cowl is great for playing with color! Although this pattern is written for using four colors, using two, three, or even five colors can come out equally as stunning. Stash busting, anyone?

This pullover is made from the bottom up in pieces and seamed, for a flattering fit. It is tapered outward from the waist, reaches its fullest point at the bust, then the armholes and the neck are shaped one after the other.

Materials

The name “Coquina” refers to a group of small mollusks. These little clam-like creatures have a wide variety of colors and patterns on their shells. I chose this name for my pattern because of the resemblance of the lace pattern to scallops, or other shell-bearing organisms.

This pattern includes directions for a cuffed (doubled) brim, or a single layer brim.
