Knitting: Mittens, Beanie, Toque
Remember picking foxgloves and putting the blossoms on your fingers and almost getting stung because there was a bee inside? Or was that just me?
Knitting: Pullover
This Norwegian Ski Sweater was inspired by the colors and designs of the Art Nouveau movement, and constructed in the traditional fashion as interpreted by Elizabeth Zimmerman. It is knitted in Sport Weight yarn in the round and features hems at the bottom, inside the sleeves and inside the boatneck.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
A simple colorwork beanie with a swirled crown--perfect for a first stranded project!!!
Knitting: Mittens
Traditional Norwegian mittens with a touch of Art Nouveau whimsy!
Knitting: Pullover
Tillie was the name of one of my favorite Great Great Aunts. Born in 1903, she was the youngest of four Aunts living together in a 1920s mansion (or so it seemed) in the Fairhaven district of Bellingham, Wa.
Knitting: Booties
These cute little booties are from a 1921 Needlework magazine. They are knitted flat on 2 needles and easy and fun to work. I’ve converted the yarn and needle sizes and updated the instructions for today’s knitter.
