Knitting: Cowl
This is just one of those quick and dirty projects that you can get finish in a couple episodes of whatever you are binge watching at the moment. Pick 2 colors of chunky yarn, add some needles, throw in a stitch marker and you are set. You will need about 55 yards per color for the short cowl and 110 yards per color for the long cowl.

Named after my father, the idea of the Walter Hat came to me after he repeatedly asked me to make a hat using my his alma mater colors. Having the sports gene skip my generation, I had little interest in knitting freaking neon orange. Also, not wanting my hat to look like a plush road cone, I set out to make a hat with a secret.

I fell in love with this stitch pattern and thought it would look great in a hat. Though this pattern was perfect for knitting in the flat it posed challenges in making it seamless when knitting the design in the round and making the decreases fit in was a whole other ball of wax.
