The georgeous blues and greens from The Border Tart Indigo dyes spoke to me of the sea, so I adapted a wave pattern found in some of my traditional Fair Isle chart books.

This pattern uses flat stocking stitch stripes and decreases to create diagonal striped lozenge-shaped pieces and so an unusual shaped sweater.

Based on a very simple traditional Scottish Gansey style.
