This is a warm, fold-up-brim winter hat with stretchy ribbing. It uses less than one skein of Peace Fleece or similar yarn.

It’s named for Landguard in Felixstowe, which is on the coast of Suffolk in England. We used to walk the dog at Landguard on weekends when I was growing up. It’s a patch of land that sticks out into the sea with a central ridge to walk along. The wind whips across the ridge from the sea, and you need a sturdy hat to walk there in winter.

Designed for a 21 inch head, it fits a 24 inch head, but you’d need to make it longer to cover your ears.

This pattern is not for commercial use.
