This design is based on the beautiful Ogee Lace Skirt by Gryphon Perkins. It is suitable for many of the wonderful ribbon yarns available today, from the light and frothy summery tape yarns to some of the heavier and more opulent ribbons. Some examples are Rowan Bamboo Tape, Berroco Linen Jeans, Louisa Harding Kimono Ribbon, Colinette Giotto, Berroco Suede, just to name a few.

Simple swatch will help determine if a needle size adjustment is necessary to maintain the drape and integrity of the lace pattern. The chart presents the entire width of the finished scarf (41 stitches wide); therefore use of a much thinner yarn would result in a ‘skinny’ scarf.
