A skein of Rasta is often like looking at a beautiful puddle of paint. Why not create a “bucket” to show off the beautiful colors?

The Rasta Bucket is knitted from the base to top in one piece, with options for the top edge and the handle. A grommet is used to attach handle to bucket, making it even more like a paint can!

Some sewing is required for the lining, instructions are included! You have the option on creating an open-topped container, or a drawstring-closed top.

There are many ways to make your own Bucket! Have fun with it!

Materials needed aside from the knitting items listed above:

  • fabric (one or two fat quarters is plenty)
  • fusible interfacing (heavy weight)
  • the usual sewing tools (needle, thread, scissors, measuring tape, marker)
  • 3/4” Ribbon or drawstring
  • 1/2” grommets and tool for attachment (hammer also required)
  • pre-made hooks or 12 gauge wire to make your own (and wire cutting/bending tools)
