Who hasn’t been inspired by dinosaurs at one time or another in their life? This series of hats is simultaneously inspired and (hopefully) inspiring to others. Call them “Dino Hats” or “Dragon hats” but definitely make one for all your beastie-loving family and friends!

This is mainly a stocking-style hat, with a slow decrease along two lines, and several closely-worked increases and decreases to create the spiney ridge.

You’ll have a choice of three tail-tips, but note that though the smallest size can be worked as-seen with just one skein of Malabrigo Twist, changing to one of the shaped tail-tips will require the smallest amount more than a skein, perhaps a chance to change the color and use up a scrap?

Approximate yarn amounts needed by size:
100g (120g, 140g)
