Cables, lace and ruffles: three of my all-time favorite things to knit. I always wanted to make a shawl that would incorporate all three of these and this is how Timenoguy came to be. The pattern is knit from the top down and although the lace and cables keep you on your toes the wrong side rows are plain, giving you a nice break from thinking about your knitting on the way back. The shawl itself is lovely with the flirty ruffle edge and the elegant cables and lace pattern. The stripes are there to lend it a sense of fun and keep it from being too stuffy. Timenoguy can be worn over any dress on chilly evenings or as a scarf on colder days. It’s the perfect accessory to dress up any outfit!

The pattern contains 3 pages of written instruction and 5 charts (the charts are not written out), tips and notes to make knitting and blocking the shawl easier. It has been extensively test knit and tech edited. Thank you to all my lovely testers and tech editor!

Size
Small: 53” x 27”
Large: 60” x 28”

Yarn
Small: The Sanguine Gryphon Eidos in Polimarchus (color A) 1 skein, 390yds/356.6m and Haperdone (color B) 1 skein, 340yds/311m
Large: Sundara Fingering Merino Cashmere in Aged Oak Barrel (color A) 1 skein, 485yds/443.4m and Cabernet Grapes (color B) 1 skein, 340yds/311m

Note - Due to the cables in the pattern I do not recommend using a single ply yarn. Yarn with good stitch definition is important.

Gauge
24 sts and 32 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (gauge is not crucial but using differing gauge may result in a change in size and amount of yarn needed)
