UraUe is a relaxed-fit vest worked seamlessly from the top down. It combines Half Fisherman’s rib and Stockinette stitch and can be reversed.
The neckline is shaped with German short rows and stitches are increased to shoulder width. The front and back yokes are then worked separately to underarm during which the back armhole is made longer than the front. They are joined again and the body is worked in the round to the stepped hem. The front and back hems are worked flat separately.
It can be worn like a turtleneck vest with the optional cowl.

Vest: XS (S, M, L)(XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)
Finished bust circumference: 91.5 (103, 114.5, 122) (133.5, 145, 152.5, 164) cm [36 (40½, 45, 48)(52½, 57, 60, 64½)″]
Recommended ease: +13 to 23 cm [5 to 9″] at bust.
Cowl (optional): One size (easily adjustable)

YARN
mominoki yarn Finnwool (100% Wool; 360 m [394 yds]/100 g)
For vest: 2 (3, 3, 3)(3, 4, 4, 4) skeins or approx. 710 (780, 880, 960)(1060, 1170, 1260, 1360) m [776 (853, 962, 1050)(1159, 1280, 1378, 1487) yds] of heavy fingering weight yarn.
Please note that yardage is estimated and can vary depending on your yarn, gauge, modifications, etc.
For both vest and cowl: 3 (3, 4, 4)(4, 4, 5, 5) skeins or approx. 940 (1010, 1110, 1190)(1290, 1400, 1490, 1590) m [1028 (1105, 1214, 1301)(1411, 1531, 1629, 1739) yds] of heavy fingering weight yarn.
For size M, the yardage shown will be plenty. However, with the correct gauge and no modification with the pattern, it is likely that you will be able to knit the set with three skeins (you may have to unravel the swatches).
For cowl: One skein or approx. 230 m [252 yds] of heavy fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
For vest:
- 3.5 mm [US 4] 40 cm [16″] circular needle for neckband and two 60 cm [24′′] or longer circular needles for yoke and hem
- 3.75 mm [US 5] 60 cm [24″] or longer circular needle for body
For cowl:
- 3.5 mm [US 4] and 3.75 mm [US 5] 40 to 60 cm [16 to 24′′] circular needles
Adjust needle size to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS
4 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle

GAUGE (after blocking)
For vest:
- 21 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm [4″] in Half Fisherman’s rib on 3.5 mm [US 4] needle.
- 21 sts and 32 rounds = 10 cm [4″] in Stockinette stitch on 3.75 mm [US 5] needle.
For cowl:
- 21 sts and 46 rounds = 10 cm [4′′] in Half Fisherman’s rib on 3.5 mm [US 4] needle.
- 20 sts and 44 rounds = 10 cm [4′′] in Half Fisherman’s rib on 3.75 mm [US 5] needle.
Please wash the swatches and dry them flat before measuring your gauge.
It is recommended to make a swatch in the round for Stockinette stitch.

Intermediate: Seamless top-down construction, knitting, purling, tuck sts, twisted sts, slipped sts, cable sts (not for traditional cable pattern but for reversible design), increasing, decreasing, casting on, binding off, working flat and in the round, German short rows.

UraUe はトップダウンで輪に編むゆったりしたベストです。ハーフフィッシャーマンズリブとメリヤス編みの組み合わせで、リバーシブル仕様です。
ネックラインはドイツ式引き返し編みで形作り、肩幅まで目を増やしていきます。その後、前後のヨークを脇の下まで別々に編みます。その際、後ろのアームホールを前より長く編みます。再びつなぎ、身頃を前後差のある裾まで輪に編みます。前後の裾は平編みで別々に編みます。
オプションのカウルをつければ、タートルネックのベストのように着ることができます。
