As a child I was always called easy to keep busy. You could put me anywhere with a piece of paper, scissors, glue and some yarn, and I was happy.

That hasn’t changed …

Born in Germany, I grew up in Switzerland in the 70′s, during which there were many crafts to keep me busy. I had a dream: I wanted to be able to make everything myself! From head to toe. So I went to school to become a teacher for Home and Careers. After a few years of teaching, I decided to pack my bags and left for Paris to study at Studio Bercot, a school for Fashion design. I worked in Paris’ fashion world for 2 years, before I moved to New York to start my own accessories collection. While freelancing at Martha Stewart in the holiday and crafts department, I was able to use all my crafting skills. I also taught many of my friends and colleagues there how to knit and helped different designers developing their knitwear collection. Since being back in Switzerland, I have continued knitting and started my own label, called Knit Kit, 15 years ago. The startup was great. Many instructions have been written and shown in magazines and are knit by many followers. English speaking crafters have been asking me to translate them into English. So here we are with the most popular instructions translated for you.
