I’m a yarn loving biologist who loves to create things with my hands.
I got hooked on knitting when I made my first shawl in a bulky yarn in 2006 and now I run my own business Garnasinne.
Garnasinne sells organic and fair trade yarns online and give classes in knitting and crocheting. I chose organic and fair trade because I believe it is important do contribute to a sustainable environment and good conditions for both humans and animals. Most of the yarns are not certified fair trade or organic, since I also like to cherish smaller businesses that makes yarn on a smaller scale because they just love to do it!
The name Garnasinne is a play with the swedish words ‘barnasinne’ for which the best translation might be ‘child inside’, beeing playful and a bit childish and ‘garn’ which obviously means ‘yarn’. I think it’s important to keep your ‘barnasinne’ when you create, because that is part of what makes the most wonderful projects!
Right now you can buy yarn from the webshop if you live in any EU country or in Norway. Just follow this link to Garnasinne.
