Asami Kawa

Asami Kawa

I have been familiar with knitting for more than 10 years. I came to the United States in 2004. There, I had come to realize that there are much more variety and possibility in knitting designs than I had known and expected.

Now, I devote myself to designing what I love to knit, wear, and have in my wardrobe, and really enjoy my life as a designer.

My designgs are inevitably related to nature, such as flowers, leaves, and birds; for I have always been surrunded by nature since I was a child, and have received many things from nature. Colors, forms, and textures -- anything in nature affects me in my design process.

Finally, I love to use lace and fingering weight yarns in my designs because they enable me to express detailed patterns and textures.
