About Me
I’m Christiane Burkhard and
fiber arts run deep in my family – I grew up surrounded by knitting and crocheting aunts, and my grandmother dreamed of owning her own yarn shop.
After moving from Switzerland to the US, I reconnected with these roots and truly became a Lismi — someone who knits, in Swiss German. What began as a passion soon grew into designing and sharing my love for texture, color, and fiber.
For eleven inspiring years, I was part of the vibrant American knitting community before returning to Europe. Now based in Germany, I continue to design, knit, and connect with fellow makers around the world.
In addition to my designs, I create my own line of hand-dyed yarns, exploring color and fiber through the art of dyeing — a process that deeply inspires my design work.
