My knitting career started in 3rd grade in Munich, Germany, when Mrs Bittner attempted to teach me how to knit… and these weren’t just scarves! No, we had to learn the various techniques, knitting gloves, hats and intricate color designs.
I was NOT impressed, my tiny hands struggled with holding on to a 4play needle set, the yarn we used was scratchy and uninspiring, however I did learn the basics.
In my late teens, early twenties I discovered yarn, the fibers, the colors and textures. I became inspired to play with it and, armed with a solid knowledge of the basics, was off to create a lasting love with the craft.

Knitting had found a way into my life, providing me with self-expression, play and calmness.
My love for the craft, my love for the materials and my love for the community is my most wonderful reprieve from the chaos in the world, reliably providing me with connection and expression.
